KOTA, May 18: ALLEN Career Institute has welcomed the announcements made by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan regarding changes in the conduct of the NEET-UG examination.
In this regard, the CEO of the ALLEN Career Institute, Nitin Kukreja, stated that the decisions taken by the Ministry of Education are highly welcomed. “First and foremost, the decision to reconduct the examination within a reasonable timeframe was appropriate. Along with this, the announcement of the next examination date has also provided clarity to students and parents,” he said.
Kukreja further said that NEET is a major examination and the trust of lakhs of students and parents is associated with it. In such a situation, he said, comprehensive reforms should be introduced and these should be implemented together, at one time only. “This examination process can be divided into two parts. On the lines of JEE, NEET Main and Advanced should be conducted. Admissions to prestigious medical colleges like AIIMs should be given through NEET Advanced, while admissions to other medical colleges should be granted through NEET Mains,’ he explained.
Along with this, while giving suggestions to reduce examination stress among students, he said that NEET Mains should be conducted twice. This will reduce examination stress among students and multiple opportunities would allow students to improve their performance and prepare more effectively.
