Property worth Rs 75 lakh attached in NDPS case in Jammu

JAMMU, May 18: Police today claimed to have attached an immovable property of a drug peddler worth around Rs 75 lakh at Sehora area here.
Officials said the property belongs to one Navjot Singh alias Bablu, a resident of Rinda Nagar, Miran Sahib, who was booked in FIR No. 104/2026 under sections 8/21/22/27-A of the NDPS Act and Section 111 of the BNS.
They said during investigation, Police found that the property located at village Sehora was allegedly acquired through proceeds generated from illegal narcotics trade.
Accordingly, officials said acting under section 68-F of the NDPS Act, Police Station Bahu Fort attached and froze the property after completing the required legal formalities.
The attachment notice was affixed on the property in the presence of an Executive Magistrate, they said. The operation was carried out by the SHO of Police Station Bahu Fort along with the Investigating Officer and Incharge Police Post Bathindi.
