10 JKAS officers promoted

JAMMU, May 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Government today ordered the promotion of 10 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers to their next higher administrative grades.

As per an order, JKAS officer Inderjeet was promoted to the Super Time Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (Level 14), with immediate effect.
Another order said that two JKAS officers-Tazayun Mukhtar and Rakesh Kumar-were promoted to the Special Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (Level 13), with immediate effect.
Similarly, JKAS officer Sher Singh was promoted to the Selection Grade of the JKAS with effect from October 27, 2016 and Special Scale notionally with effect from August 5, 2022 and on regular basis prospectively.
As per another order, JKAS officer Syed Naseer Ahmad has been promoted to the Selection Grade of the JKAS (Level 12) with effect from September 3, 2022, on notional basis and on regular basis prospectively.
Selection Grade (Non-Functional) was also released in favour of Syed Naseer Ahmad with effect from January 1, 2022.
Five more JKAS officers were promoted to the Selection Grade of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (Level 12).
The order issued in this context said that Prince Noorul Hamid has been promoted notionally with effect from December 5, 2024 and on regular basis prospectively, while Mazahir Hussain Shah has been promoted notionally with effect from September 26, 2025 and on regular basis prospectively. Three other officers-Peerzada Farhat Ahmed, Arun Kumar Badyal, and Syed Nadeem Iqbal-were promoted prospectively.
