Residents of Hiranagar protest against FCSCA Department

KATHUA, May 15: The inhabitants of Hiranagar border area led by social worker BL Kandly held a protest demonstration against the failure of J&K Government in solving the basic issues of the people.
The prominent citizens held a conference before protest and passed a resolution demanding settlement of the problems of the people.
In the conference the delegates were unanimous regarding the total failure of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department in meeting the demands of the people. The Department totally failed to enter the names of
children born since 2011 and issuance of a separate Ration Card to the every married person of Sub Division Hiranagar,
despite official fee has been deposited in the treasury through village Chowkidars as identity of separate families.
In the conference of delegates from Hiranagar, Marheen and Dinga Amb it was unanimously resolved that Statehood to Jammu Kashmir should be granted immediately.
It was also demanded that political Organisations, students and social activists should demand Statehood unitedly and start peaceful campaign in this regard.
BL Kandly submitted the memorandum to SDM Hiranagar and said that the residents of Sub-Division Hiranagar are facing numerous problems due to lack of restoration of statehood. Common man is suffering a lot and public is facing many problems in getting their grievances redressed. He added.
