JU Law School organises special lecture on Specific Relief Act 1963

JAMMU, May 7: Under the guidance of Director, Prof Seema Rohmetra, The Law School, University of Jammu, today organised a special lecture on the Specific Relief Act, 1963.
Shivani Jalali Pandita, Senior Advocate, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, graced the occasion as the Resource Person.
In her lecture, Ms Jalali Pandita elaborated on the principles of specific performance, injunctions, and declaratory decrees under the Specific Relief Act, 1963. She emphasized the practical relevance of equitable remedies in commercial litigation and encouraged students to develop analytical skills through case-based learning.
Ms Jalali Pandita also engaged with students through a case analysis competition and shared insights to help them improve their legal reasoning. She also felicitated the winning team consisting of Danish Bashir, Sabreena, Shariqa, Salman Wani, Nabhit, Abhijay, Yuvraj, and Adeel.
Prof Seema Rohmetra, Director of The Law School, appreciated the initiative and stressed the importance of experiential learning in legal education.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Kartika Bakshi, the coordinator for the lecture.
