JAMMU, May 4: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the transfer and posting of Dr. Poonam Sethi, I/C Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, J&K, as I/C Director Health Services, Jammu, in the interest of administration and patient care.
According to Government Order No. 392–JK (HME) of 2026 dated May 4, 2026, the appointment has been made on a temporary basis and will remain subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions before courts of law. The order further states that the arrangement will not confer any preferential rights for regularization or promotion, which shall be governed strictly as per rules.
The order has been issued by the Health and Medical Education Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu/Srinagar, with directions circulated to concerned administrative and health authorities across the Union Territory for necessary action.
