DC Rajouri reviews revenue, PSGA, land acquisition, anti-drug measures

RAJOURI, MAY 2: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess progress on key revenue and administrative matters across the district.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner laid special emphasis on clearing the backlog of mutation cases in certain tehsils and directed the concerned officers to ensure time-bound disposal under the provisions of the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA). He stressed accountability and instructed that delays must be addressed on priority.

The DC also reviewed the status of quasi-judicial cases and called for their expeditious disposal in accordance with due process. He further took stock of land acquisition issues concerning various institutions including IB, Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), BSNL towers and other public infrastructure projects, directing officers to resolve bottlenecks and facilitate early completion.

Highlighting the importance of safeguarding government land, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed forest eviction cases and instructed strict action in accordance with law to remove encroachments.

On the anti-drug front, the DC emphasized intensification of the ongoing campaign, with a focus on seizure, attachment and red entry of properties linked to drug-related activities.

He directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination to curb the menace effectively.

Among others, ADC Rajouri Ravi Kumar Sihag, ADC Kalakote Tanvir Ahmed, ADC Nowshera Pritam Lal Thapa, ADC Sunderbani Ramkesh Sharma, ACD Rajouri Mohd Jahangir Khan, SDM Thanamandi Abid Hussain, Tehsildar Kotranka Syed Sahil Ali and other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.
