J&K Govt Grants 15-Day Extension For Annual Property Returns Filing

Jammu, Apr 30: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s General Administration Department (GAD) has granted a further 15-day extension for employees to file their Annual Property Returns (APR) for the year 2025 through the Property Return System (PRS) portal.
According to an official notification issued on April 30, 2026, the deadline has been extended as a last and final opportunity for employees who failed to submit their returns within the previously stipulated timelines.
The notification stated that despite earlier extensions, a number of employees either failed to register or did not complete the submission process on the PRS portal. The government noted that such non-compliance results in a default under the mandatory filing process.
It further warned that failure to submit property returns may invite punitive action under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Men and Public Servants Declaration of Assets Act and relevant rules. Defaulting employees may also face action under the Prevention of Corruption Act and could be denied vigilance clearance.
The GAD has directed all departments and Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to ensure strict compliance and submission of returns by their employees within the extended period.
Employees facing technical issues, including OTP-related problems, have been advised to update their contact details on the CPIS portal or seek assistance through the official support email.
The government reiterated that no further extensions are likely, urging all employees to utilize this final window to complete their mandatory filings.
