DODA, Apr 28: Police here today, during an operation, seized four vehicles involved in unauthorized transportation of minor minerals.
The operation was carried out by cops from Police Post Karara, led by IC PP Karara at various Naka points in the area.
During routine checking at Naka Karara and adjoining locations, some vehicles were intercepted and these were found transporting sand and other minor minerals without any valid documents.
These vehicles were Tipper bearing registration number JK06C-0831, driven by Mohd. Ashfaq, son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Kastigarh, District Doda; Tipper bearing registration number JK02CJ-5977, driven by Mohd Yaseen, son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Thalela, District Doda; Dumper bearing registration number JK14D-9828, driven by Suhail Ahmed, son of Mohd. Shafiq, resident of Dudhote, Barshala, District Doda and Tipper bearing registration number JK06A-9327.
All these vehicles were seized and were stationed at Naka Karara. District Mineral Officer Doda has been informed for further necessary legal action under relevant provisions.
