Samba police arrests drug peddler, seizes 7.47 gms of heroin

SAMBA, Apr 22: Intensifying its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers in the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Samba police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba and recovered approximately 7.47 grams heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
Acting on information received from reliable sources, a team of Police Station Samba, intercepted a motorcycle bearing Registration Number, JK21K-1087 which was coming from Main Bazar Samba and moving towards Palah Morh. During frisking, approximately 7.47 grams of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from the possession of motorcyclist.
The drug peddler identified as Paras Sharma, son of Suresh Kumar Sharma of Chak Manga district Samba has been arrested. The contraband item along with motorcycle has also been seized.
A case FIR No 98/2026 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
