Omar targeting BJP to hide failures: Bhagat

JAMMU, Apr 21: Senior BJP leader, Bali Bhagat here today claimed that by targeting BJP, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is attempting to divert public attention from his failure.
In a handout, Bhagat said that instead of indulging in political rhetoric and allegations, Omar Abdullah should present a report card of his government’s performance.
Reacting to Abdullah’s remarks on the restoration of Statehood, the BJP leader said the issue is being unnecessarily politicised.
“When the Government of India has clearly stated that Statehood will be restored at an appropriate time, then repeating the same question in every rally is nothing but an attempt to mislead the people,” he maintained adding that the NC led Government has failed to make any visible impact on key sectors like unemployment, healthcare, education etc.
On Abdullah’s claims regarding welfare measures such as free gas cylinders and relief initiatives, Bhagat said the public deserves transparency.
Bhagat further said that BJP believes in performance and not propaganda.
