LG Saxena Hands Over 313 Job Letters To District-Cadre Employees At Leh Rozgar Mela

LEH, Apr 16: Ladakh Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Thursday handed over appointment letters to 313 newly recruited district-cadre employees at a Rozgar Mela here, an official said.
It was the second such fair organised within three days. On April 14, the lieutenant governor (L-G) had handed over job letters to around 200 fresh recruits in Kargil.
The Leh Autonomous Hill Development Subordinate Services Recruitment Board (LAHD-SSRB) had conducted exams to fill district cadre posts for matriculation and 10+2 level last November.
A total of 387 candidates were selected, of which 313 were given appointment
letters on Thursday. A majority of the new recruits have been appointed to the health, revenue, public health engineering, and forest and animal husbandry departments, an official spokesman said.
Congratulating the newly joinees, Saxena said the recruitment process reflected transparency and merit-based selection, ensuring equal opportunities without any bias or malpractice.
Emphasising that government service is not merely a source of livelihood but a responsibility towards society and the nation, Saxena urged the recruits to work with dedication, integrity and a strong sense of public service.
The L-G reiterated the administration’s commitment to filling all vacant posts in a time-bound manner and moving away from ad-hoc arrangements to regular and transparent recruitment.
Saxena also expressed confidence that the new recruits will play a vital role in strengthening governance and enhancing public service delivery in Ladakh.
