JAMMU, Apr 10: The School of Life Sciences at the Central University of Jammu organized its alumni meet, titled “Bio-Sangam,” today at the university auditorium.
The event served as a vibrant platform for former students to reconnect with their alma mater and engage with the current academic community.
In his presidential remarks, Prof Sunil Dhar, Dean of the School of Life Sciences, delivered a profound message that emphasized the enduring relationship between the institution and its graduates. He appreciated generous contributions made by Dr Sarita Bamotra an alumna of the Department of Environmental Sciences and by the parents of Ruchika an alumna of the Centre for Molecular Biology to the Alumni Fund. He described the alumni as the “living legacy” of the university, noting that their professional milestones are the true measure of the department’s success.
Prof. Dhar concluded by reminding the gathering that while their paths may diverge, the “academic DNA” they shared at Central University of Jammu would always keep them connected to their alma mater.
Prof Richa Kothari, Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences, delivered the formal welcome address. The event was graced by Prof Deepak Pathania, Prof B S Bhau, and Prof Mushtaq Ahmed who shared their insights and experiences.
As a token of appreciation, the school distributed souvenirs to the attending alumni. Following an interactive session concluded with a group photograph to commemorate the occasion. The event was graced by the Heads of various departments under the School of Life Sciences and the faculty members.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr Sudhir Singh.
