RAJOURI, Apr 10: The police nabbed a drug-peddler and recovered some quantity of heroin from his possession in Rajouri area today.
Reports said during routine patrolling near Salani bridge, the police team intercepted one Alto vehicle, bearing registration No. JK11A/ 6886, which was coming from Muradpur side to Rajouri. During checking, 2 gms of heroin was recovered from the possession of the driver.
He was identified as Aquib Khan, son of Abdul Majeed, resident of Sagrawat, in Darhal area of district Rajouri. The accused was immediately taken into custody. A case FIR No. 160/2026 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered against him at Police Station Rajouri. Further investigation is underway.
