KATHUA, Apr 9: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, Ms. Mohita Sharma seized three vehicles i.e (two Trucks and one Tralla ) in the jurisdictional areas of Police Station (PS) Kathua (Hatlimorh) and Lakhanpur which were being used for illegal mining/transportation of the construction material.
In the first instance, a police team led by in charge Police Post (PP) Hatli under the guidance of Additional SP Kathua, Sunil Kumar Kesar, DySP Headquarters Kathua, Ravinder Singh and SHO, PS Kathua Inspector, Ashish Sharma while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, has seized two vehicles (Trucks) bearing Registration Number PB10FV-7691 & PB30L-9553 indulged in illegal mining / transportation of construction material without any legal permission.
While in the second instance the police team led by SHO PS Lakhanpur Inspector, Neeraj Choudhary under the guidance of DySP DAR, Kathua, Bhagwan Dass during patrolling duty seized one vehicle i.e Tralla bearing Registration Number RJ02C-4848 loaded with construction material without any valid permission.
Thereafter all the three vehicles have been seized by Kathua police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Kathua for further legal action.
