JAMMU, Apr 7: Renowned Dogri singer and state awardee Raman Slathia has been nominated as member of prestigious Uttar Kshetra Sanskritik Kendra (North Zone Cultural Centre), Patiala for the next two years.
He represented Jammu and Kashmir in the 38th Board of Governors meeting of the NZCC, held yesterday at the Vilas Palace, Udaipur (Rajasthan).
The significant meeting was chaired by Punjab Governor, Gulab Chand Kataria, who is also the Chairman of the Uttar Kshetra Sanskritik Kendra (NZCC).
According to Raman Slathia, his nomination to represent J&K in NZCC is not just an honour for his personal achievements but also a matter of pride for Dogri culture and folk art.
