JAMMU, Apr 7: The residents of Bhagwati Nagar, Ashok Nagar and Mahinder Nagar are facing hardships due to constant delay in construction of Flyover as the same has compounded the problems of the people.
According to residents of these localities they are unable to move on the stretch of road around this halted construction site as the road remains knee deep water logged. The elderly people moving on the road sometimes get slipped due to slush collected on road side. Moreover during the dry season entire fume and dust collected on this stretch of road enters the residential colonies during hailstorm and leads to environmental hazards in this entire area.
The residents in an appeal urged the concerned authorities to take the cognisance of the matter and intensify the construction work so that the people get rid of health hazards caused due to constant delay in construction of the Flyover.
