JAMMU, Apr 7: J&K Police Headquarters has nominated SSP SIA Kashmir, Tahir Ashraf Bhatti, as the Inquiry Officer (IO) to conduct a fact-finding probe into the alleged involvement of Sub-Inspector (SI) Zakir Hussain.
As per an official order, the appointment follows the transfer of IPS officer Divya from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir to Puducherry and her subsequent relieving earlier this year.
The order specifies that a fact-finding enquiry will be conducted in place of a departmental enquiry in the matter. The Inquiry Officer has been directed to submit the findings to the Police Headquarters within 15 days.
