RAJOURI, Apr 4: In a step to strengthen digital banking services, J&K Bank has commissioned a new ATM at Aspirational Block Khawas in Rajouri district, improving access to banking facilities in the remote area.
The ATM was inaugurated by Deputy Advisor, NITI Aayog, Dr Muniraju, in the presence of Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri Malikzada Sheraz, Lead District Manager Ravinder Singh Nagra, bank officials, public representatives and local residents, while MLA Budhal Javed Iqbal and DDC Rajouri Abhishek Sharma joined the event virtually.
On the occasion, the speakers appreciated the bank’s efforts to expand digital infrastructure in underserved areas, stating that such initiatives are crucial for promoting financial inclusion and ensuring doorstep banking services.
They also encouraged people to make full use of digital banking facilities.
Officials said the newly installed ATM will benefit a large population in the block and enhance convenience for customers.
With this addition, the total number of ATMs in the Rajouri Zone, including Rajouri and Poonch districts, has reached 85, further strengthening the banking network in the region.
