Iran’s new Supreme Leader has not been in Russia: Diplomatic source

MOSCOW, Apr 4: Reports about the alleged trip of Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei to Russia are not true, and his injuries do not interfere with his work, a diplomatic source said on Saturday.
In March, Kuwait’s Al-Jarida newspaper, citing sources, reported that Iran’s new supreme leader had allegedly been urgently evacuated to Moscow for treatment after being wounded.
“The new supreme leader has not been in Russia even for several hours. The injuries are not serious, they do not interfere with work,” the source told reporters.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched strikes on targets in Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran responded by striking Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East. (UNI)
