JAMMU, Apr 2: Six individuals were arrested for gambling in Muthi/Domana area here today. Stake money of Rs 15, 500 was also seized from their possession.
A police official said that acting on specific inputs, a team of Police Station Domana conducted a raid and arrested six persons red-handed while gambling.
During the operation, stake money amounting to Rs 15, 500 along with a deck of 52 playing cards was recovered from the spot and seized as per rules, he said.
According to the police official, all the accused have been booked under the relevant provisions of Section 13 of the Gambling Act and further investigation has been taken up.
