JAMMU, Apr 1: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has officially sanctioned the release of 50% of funds under the Revenue Budget for the financial year 2026-27 through the BEAMS portal.
According to an order issued by the Finance Department, funds for power purchases will be released on a monthly basis at a rate of 1/12th of the budget estimate.
While the bulk of the revenue budget is now accessible, the Government clarified that the release of funds for specific critical sectors—including interest payments, food grain costs, snow clearance, UT share under revenue components, and the Disaster Response Fund (DRF)—will be managed on a case-to-case basis.
