JAMMU, Mar 31: The meeting of Executive Committee of the Home for the Aged & Infirm (Vridh Ashram), Ambphalla, was held here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Pankaj Gupta, president.
At the outset, Prem Gupta and Patron of the Home inaugurated the newly constructed Meeting Hall.
The president welcomed all members and requested Dr Dinesh Gupta, Secretary, to present the agenda items for discussion and approval.
The Committee approved the Income & Expenditure Accounts for January and February 2026.
It was noted that thirteen dignitaries and institutions visited the Home during the period and appreciated its overall functioning and facilities.
The Committee approved the enrollment of new Life Members and reviewed rent recovery from shopkeepers, expressing satisfaction over the clearance of most outstanding dues while authorizing further action in remaining cases.
The House took note of the implementation of revised pay structures for employees with effect from January 2026, which has been well received by the staff, who appreciated the progressive approach of the Managing Committee.
Various developmental works, including additions and alterations to the existing infrastructure, were reviewed and approved.
The Committee also discussed progress regarding installation of lifts in both blocks and authorized further necessary action.
The ongoing distribution of surplus stock to NGOs and needy individuals was reviewed and the action taken was confirmed.
Members interacted with inmates and staff to assess the facilities and welfare measures and expressed satisfaction over the overall improvements.
The meeting was attended by Vijay Gupta, Rattan Deep Singh Anand, Sat Pal Sharma, Dr Surinder Kumar, Dr Ritesh Gupta, Vijay Dhawan, Rajinder Singh, Dr Roopali Slathia and Ravinder Singh, representative of DSWO, Jammu.
