NEW DELHI, Mar 28: A delegation of the FICCI FLO led by its national president Poonam Sharma paid a visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan and met the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
The delegation included senior members and past presidents of FLO, who shared insights into the organisation’s work in empowering women across different sectors.
During the interaction, Poonam Sharma briefed the President Droupadi Murmu about FLO’s journey and its initiatives focused on promoting entrepreneurship, leadership, skill development and inclusive growth among women.
She highlighted that the organisation has been consistently working to create opportunities, nurture talent and build an enabling ecosystem for women from diverse backgrounds to participate actively in economic and social development.
President Murmu appreciated the efforts of FLO and acknowledged its role in enhancing women’s participation in nation-building.
She encouraged the members to continue their work towards empowering women and expanding their reach to ensure wider impact.
