NGHEU delegation meets CS, Administrative Secretary APD

JAMMU, Mar 27: A delegation Non Gazetted Horticulture Employees Union (NGHEU) called on Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo and Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma, Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department (APD) to discuss important issues concerning Horticulture Department employees.
The delegation comprised UT president of the Union, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, provincial president, Mohammed Amin Dar, Sareir Ahmad Dar and two core members.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted several long-pending and genuine demands of Horticulture employees, including pay anomaly, nomination of Basic Horticulture Traning (Diploma in Horticulture) through SKUAST-Jammu, SKUAST-Kashmir and permission cases of in-service employees for Diploma in Horticulture from IGNOU, as in-service employees recruitment rules, and other service-related and welfare matters are affecting the smooth functioning and morale of the employees.
Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo and Administrative Secretary listened patiently to the concerns raised and assured the delegation that the Government is sensitive to these issues and fully committed to resolving them in time bound manner.
Chief Secretary and Administrative Secretary further emphasized that concrete steps will be taken to ensure the welfare, career progression, and sustainable development of Agriculture and Horticulture employees, recognizing their vital role in strengthening the agricultural economy of the region.
The delegation expressed the hope that the assurances given will soon translate into tangible outcomes for the benefit of Horticulture employees.
