UDHAMPUR, Mar 27: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel near Dhar Road Udhampur.
A police spokesman said that Akshay Thakur (25), son of Kuldeep Singh, resident of Ramnagar, was found in an unconscious condition in Lee Mars Hotel room. The hotel staff rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Later, the body was sent for post-mortem. After completion of all the legal formalities and post-mortem, Police handed over the body to family members for the last rites.
Apparent cause of death could not be ascertain while Udhampur Police have registered the case in this connection and further investigation is going on.
