Kawa College hosts Lecture on NEP 2020 challenges

JAMMU, Mar 25: Kawa College of Education, in collaboration with the Council for Teacher Education Foundation, Jammu & Kashmir (CTEF), successfully organized an extension lecture on the theme “Challenges of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.” The event aimed to create awareness and promote critical dialogue among students, faculty, and the wider academic community.
The programme commenced with a bouquet presentation by Chairman MS Katoch, who warmly welcomed the distinguished guest speaker, Prof Jaspal Singh Warwal from the Centre for Distance and Online Education, University of Jammu. The Principal, Dr Tajinder Kour, formally welcomed the resource person and highlighted the importance of such academic engagements.
Prof. Warwal, a renowned academician, delivered an insightful lecture focusing on the key features of NEP 2020 and the practical challenges associated with its implementation. He emphasized the need for adaptability among educators and institutions to effectively align with the multidisciplinary and flexible framework proposed by the policy. His address provided valuable perspectives on bridging gaps between policy and practice.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating by asking questions and sharing their views on the policy’s real-world implications. The discussion proved engaging, enriching, and thought-provoking for all attendees.
The programme witnessed the presence of faculty members and students in large numbers. It concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Bharti Devi, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker and participants for contributing to the success of the event.
