Almond declines on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Sept 20:  Almond prices fell by Rs 200 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists existing at higher levels amid adequate stocks.
Almond (California) traded lower by Rs 200 to Rs 20,000 per 40 kg and its kernel rates also eased by Rs 10 to Rs 690-700 per kg.
Traders attributed fall in almond prices to subdued demand from retailers and stockists prevailing at higher levels amid increased arrivals from overseas markets.
Following are today’s quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 20,000, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,300; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,700-4,900; Abjosh Afghani Rs 18,000-23,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 690-700 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-650 per kg. (PTI)
