JAMMU, Mar 22: A significant meeting of the SC, ST, and OBC communities was held today at Naraina village under the leadership of former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand witnessing an overwhelming turnout from across the region. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of respected community members, youth, and intellectuals, reflecting a strong sense of unity and purpose.
The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen social unity, create awareness about community rights, and formulate strategy for a brighter future for coming generations. The large gathering highlighted the growing awareness and collective commitment of the community toward its development and empowerment.
During the session, speakers addressed several key issues, including education, employment opportunities, social justice, protection of reservation policies, and effective implementation of government welfare schemes. Many emphasized the urgent need for unity to safeguard the rights and ensure fair representation of reserved categories.
The youth played an active role in the discussions, expressing their determination to contribute to community progress and leadership. Speakers encouraged young participants to focus on education and take initiative in shaping the future of society.
Special emphasis was laid on strengthening brotherhood and solidarity among all sections of the community. Attendees collectively resolved to work together for the protection of their rights and the overall development of society.
