JAMMU, Mar 22: An alleged hardcore criminal was arrested with a sharp-edged weapon from RS Pura area here, officials said.
During routine patrolling in RS Pura area on March 22, a suspicious individual tried to flee on seeing a police party deployed in the area, they said.
He was accordingly chased and arrested by the alert cops led by SHO RS Pura, Tribhawan Khajuria, officials said, adding that a sharp-edged weapon (toka) was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, the accused individual, identified as Vinay Kumar of Gagian, RS Pura was booked in case FIR number 61/2026 under sections 4/25 of the Arms Act registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation taken up.
