JAMMU, Mar 21: The deputation tenure of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre IPS officer Rajesh Kumar as Additional Director General (ADG) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been extended by one year.

The extension, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs, will continue beyond March 18, 2026.
Kumar has earlier served as Inspector General of CRPF in Jammu and Kashmir and was also posted as IG of the Special Security Group in the erstwhile state.
He has additionally held the position of IGP Jammu.
