JAMMU, Mar 20: Government of Jammu and Kashmir today constituted a Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) to vet the specifications and Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the ambitious “Classroom Digital Board” project aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure in schools.
As per the Government Order, the committee has been formed in terms of SO 227 dated July 9, 2021 of the Finance Department. The Committee will be chaired by the Chief Executive Officer, JaKeGA while the State Informatics Officer, NIC, J&K will serve as a member.
The Committee will also include a representative from IIT Jammu (to be nominated by Director, IIT Jammu) and a representative from NIT Srinagar (to be nominated by Director, NIT Srinagar). The Under Secretary to the Government, Information Technology Department will function as the Member-Convener of the panel. Additionally, the Additional Secretary to the Government, School Education Department has been designated as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from the department.
