REASI, Mar 13: One person died while two others sustained injuries after a car they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge at Pouni area of Reasi district today.
Officials said the ill-fated vehicle (JK21J-1247) met with an accident at Gajore area on the Gajore-Kheralair Link Road, leaving three persons injured.
They were immediately taken to PHC Pouni, where one of them, Sarabjeet Singh (233) son of Darbar Singh of Kheralair, Pouni, was declared as dead on arrival, they said.
Meanwhile, the injured individuals, identified as Maksood Ahmed (23) son of Kalah Khan and Amandeep Singh (23) son of Pritam Singh, both residents of Kheralair, Pouni, are currently undergoing treatment at District Hospital Reasi after preliminary treatment at PHC Pouni.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and registered a case under the relevant sections of the law at concern police station to further investigate into the matter.
