JAMMU, Mar 8: A commendable initiative of social service was witnessed in Dharp Panchayat of R.S. Pura-Jammu South Assembly constituency, where relief material was distributed among needy and underprivileged families by Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust today. The aim of this service activity was to support the weaker sections of society and provide them with essential daily-use items.
On the occasion, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir general secretary and former Deputy Mayor, Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, attended the programme as the chief guest.
While appreciating the noble work carried out by the Trust, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that helping needy and poor families is the greatest humanitarian duty. He stated that when individuals and social organizations come forward to participate in such service activities, it spreads positive energy in society and strengthens the spirit of brotherhood.
He further said that such service initiatives are not limited to the distribution of relief material, but they also reinforce the values of humanity, cooperation, and sensitivity within society. Efforts like these inspire others to step forward and contribute towards helping the needy and building a stronger and more compassionate society, he added.
Billawaria congratulated the entire team of Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust, especially Sohan Katal (Sonu), for this admirable initiative and expressed hope that the Trust will continue to carry forward such service activities in the future as well. He added that promoting the spirit of service and cooperation in society is the need of the hour, and such initiatives play a vital role in achieving this goal.
Speaking on the occasion, president of Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust, Rajiv Sharma, stated that the Trust has consistently remained committed to supporting the needy and underprivileged sections of society. He further emphasized that the primary objective of the Trust is to assist deserving families and strengthen the spirit of service, unity, and cooperation within society.
