JAMMU, Mar 2: On the auspicious occasion of the 66th Bhandara organized by Om Parmarth Jai Parmarth Trust (OPJPT), Prerna Nanda was formally appointed as Prant Pramukh (Provincial Chief) of the Trust.
The appointment was conferred by Trust Chairman, Sandeep Singh Manhas in the esteemed presence of guests of honour Mahant Mahadev Giri, Shamsher Singh Charak and Shashi Bhushan.
During the ceremony, Prerna Nanda was ceremonially presented with shastra and shaastra, symbolizing spiritual and moral responsibility and was honoured with a traditional Sanatan pagdi.
Speaking on the occasion, Prerna Nanda expressed gratitude to Chairman of Trust for entrusting her with this role.
She stated that she will dedicate herself to the service of Dharma and society and work to expand the Trust’s humanitarian and religious initiatives.
Chairman congratulated Prerna Nanda and expressed confidence in her leadership.
He highlighted that the Trust has successfully organized 66 Bhandaras every Sunday weekly and aims to extend this initiative across Jammu & Kashmir before reaching the milestone of 101 Bhandaras.
Manhas emphasized the Trust’s vision of ensuring that no one sleeps hungry and said the day is not far when daily langar service will become a reality.
He further announced that the Trust will soon establish a tutorial centre where underprivileged children will receive free education.
Mahant Mahadev Giri blessed Prerna Nanda and expressed hope that she will walk the path of Dharma and continue to serve society with dedication.
Shamsher Singh Charak, Editor of State Samachar News, appreciated Chairman Sandeep Manhas for his social initiatives and congratulated Prerna Nanda.
