The road will remain open for LMVs between 1100 hours and 1500 hours only. No vehicle will be allowed to ply before 1100 hours or after 1500 hours.
Cautioning that snow accumulation may cause slippery road conditions and reduced visibility, commuters have been advised to avoid sudden braking and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
Drivers have been instructed to keep headlights on during low visibility and strictly avoid stopping at landslide, shooting stone, or avalanche-prone areas. Authorities have also emphasized maintaining sufficient fuel in vehicles along with a mandatory tool kit and ensuring that vehicles are in proper condition before undertaking the journey.
Further, commuters have been urged to follow lane discipline, avoid overtaking particularly on curves, and refrain from overloading vehicles to prevent mishaps.
