JAMMU, Feb 24: Jammu Kashmir BJP spokesperson and former Vice Chairman, Balbir Ram Rattan said that strong political will at the Centre coupled with coordinated action by security forces has come handy to crush terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that the zero tolerance policy of the Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is showing clear and positive results on the ground.
Referring to the recent operation in Kishtwar, Balbir Ram Rattan said that the killing of three dreaded terrorists, including a commander linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, is a big success for the security forces. He said this action has given a strong blow to terror networks active in the region. Such operations send a clear message that terrorism will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against those involved in anti-national activities.
Balbir Ram said that these achievements are part of a long-term and well-planned strategy. He praised the joint efforts of the Indian Army, paramilitary forces, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and intelligence agencies. He said that better coordination, timely intelligence, and full operational freedom have made anti-terror operations more effective, even in difficult and remote areas.
He further said that the successful operation in Kishtwar will boost the confidence of people living in far-flung and hilly areas. Many residents in such areas often feel insecure due to terrorist activities, he added.
