JAMMU, Feb 24: Vinod Pandita, president Jammu Kashmir Displaced Kashmiri Pandit Front and Dilip Pandita chairman, Victims of Terrorism Front in their joint statement have expressed grave concern and resentment over the way the migrant land grievance cases are being handled by the Revenue authorities in the Valley especially at Tehsil level without any tangible and concrete output.
They have expressed that despite immovable Migrant Property Act 1997 in place, a big chunk of migrants land still continue to be either illegally grabbed or their records tampered which needs a high level probe to unearth this huge land grabbing scam on migrant immovable property.
They have also appealed Government of India, Lt. Governor and Chief Minister J&K to get implemented Immovable Migrant Property Act 1997 in letter and spirit in which all the concerned Deputy Commissioners are made sole custodians with accountability in letter and spirit.
Vishal Jotshi vice president, Ashok Kumar Koul and Jyoti Dhar have urged the Government to issue afresh clear cut directions to the Custodians of migrant property in Valley to dispose off their grievances cases in a time bound manner.
A great resentment and disappointment is brewing up among the displaced Pandits for non seriousness and utter negligence of custodians and particularly the Revenue staff in Valley in addressing and resolving the genuine migrant land grievances on fast track, they said.
