SAMBA, Feb 20: In a swift action, Samba Police has recovered a kidnapped minor girl within eight hours from Dasuya (Punjab) in a kidnapping case registered at Police Station (PS) Samba and apprehended the Child in Conflict with Law (CCL).
A police spokesman said on Thursday a written complaint was lodged at Police Post (PP) SIDCO of PS Samba by the father of kidnapped girl, stating therein that his daughter, age about 15 years, has been kidnapped.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 46/2026 U/S 137(2) BNS got registered at Police Station Samba and search was started to trace the said kidnapped girl.
The spokesman said joint teams of PP SIDCO, PP Rakh Amb Talli and PP Supwal have launched prompt and coordinated search operations at different places and finally after hectic efforts coupled with technical analysis, police has traced out the kidnapped girl from Dasuya (Punjab) within eight hours. The Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) has also been apprehended by the police.
Further investigation of the case is going on, spokesman said.
