RAMBAN, Feb 20: The 84 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under the Jammu Sector organized a day-long free medical camp in the remote village of Palli today, providing much-needed healthcare services to residents of the area.
The camp was inaugurated by Commandant N Ranbir Singh in the presence of Second-in-Command Vikram Singh, Assistant Commandant Roop Ram Meena, former sarpanch Pawan Singh and other prominent villagers.
A team of CRPF doctors and paramedics conducted free medical check-ups and consultations and distributed medicines to more than 300 villagers, including elderly persons, women and children from Palli and adjoining localities.
Diagnostic services such as ECG, blood tests and blood sugar tests were also provided on the spot. In addition, a first-aid kit containing essential medicines was handed over to the former Sarpanch and the village health worker for future use in emergency situations.
The medical team for the camp comprised Dr Anu Gorke, SMO/DC, Dr Biranmol Singh, MO/AC, along with supporting paramedical staff.
