JAMMU, Feb 20: Police in Kanachak area here today claimed they have arrested one individual with 7.5 grams of heroin-like substance.
During routine naka checking on the Ring Road in Kanachak area, a suspicious vehicle (JK02AG-0279) coming from Belicharana towards Jhiri was intercepted, a police official said.
On search of the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Shivankur of Shamachak, 7.5 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered, he said.
Accordingly, he said the accused individual was arrested and booked in case FIR number 24/2026 under sections 8, 21, and 22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Kanachak and further investigation taken up.
