DODA, Feb 18: Police here today arrested a man in the theft case at SBI Thathri and recovered stolen money from him.
As per the case, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Thathri yesterday by Abdul Qayoom, son of Abdul Gafar, resident of Bani Trankhal, Kahara, regarding theft at SBI Bank, Thathri.
Acting promptly on the complaint an FIR with No. 12/2026 under Section 303(2) BNS was registered at Police Station Thathri.
On the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, cops under the supervision of SHO Police Station Thathri started investigation and during investigation, they interrogated suspected persons wherein one of the suspects Abu Mubashir, alias Chotu, son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Akaram Abad, Doda, confessed to having committed the offence.
On his disclosure, stolen the cash amounting to Rs. 16,500 was recovered.
Further investigation in the case was in progress.
