RAMBAN, Feb 18: Police here today in Chanderkote arrested a man and recovered heroin-like substance from him.
According to official sources, cops from Police Station Chanderkote intercepted a pedestrian during a routine checking and on his search recovered heroin-like substance.
The accused was identified as Sajad Ahmad, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Bhedi, Duksan Tehsil, Ramban district.
He was arrested on the spot and the recovered contraband was seized in accordance with legal procedures.
A case in this regard was registered in FIR No. 15/2026 at Police Station Chanderkote under Sections 8/21 of NDPS Act and investigation started.
