DODA, Feb 17: Motor Vehicles Department Doda, in coordination with Bhaderwah Police, here today, conducted a comprehensive enforcement drive which was led by SDPO Bhaderwah, Shoket Qazi along with Suresh Gautam and officials from the Transport Department.
The drive started from Seri Bazaar, where teams carried out rigorous inspections of documents and vehicle conditions.
During crackdown, several vehicles found violating traffic norms were seized, while many drivers were issued Challans for offences such as lack of valid documentation, overloading and non-compliance with safety regulations.
Speaking on the occasion, SDPO Bhaderwah, Shoket Qazi said the drive was aimed at creating discipline among motorists and ensuring adherence to traffic regulations.
He emphasized that such enforcement measures are crucial to saving precious lives by preventing road accidents and fostering a culture of responsible driving.
Authorities have urged commuters to strictly follow traffic rules, warning that similar drives will continue in coming days to ensure safer roads and orderly movement across the region.
