JAMMU, Feb 17: BJP MP (Rajya Sabha), Gulam Ali Khatana here today flayed CM Omar Abdullah and said that the CM has made a false statement claiming that residential accommodation has been provided to nominated MPs anywhere across the Union Territory.
He clarified that he is currently residing in his inherited private residence at Bathindi and for the last three years he has been requesting residential accommodation in Srinagar to discharge his duties as an MP.
“Before making tall claims, the CM should explain whether he himself can function without an official residence and office,” Khatana maintained.
Meanwhile, during a public meeting the Rajya Sabha member described the reopening of key tourist destinations across J&K as historic and confidence-restoring step that marks a new chapter in the transformation of J&K.
He credited PM Modi’s visionary leadership, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah’s firm security and policy directions and Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha’s decisive governance for creating an environment of stability, security and accelerated developments that have made this milestone possible.
The MP said that J&K is not only regaining momentum, it is advancing with renewed strength and enhanced security.
