BMO Dansal starts mobile medical teams for flood affected areas

JAMMU, Sept 12: To avoid the danger of epidemics in the wake of flash floods, the Block Medical Officer (BMO), Dansal, has started mobile medical teams and medical camps in the various areas of the Block under the expert supervision of Director Health Services and Chief Medical Officer Jammu.
These response teams have been formed by Block Medical Officer, Dansal. The teams have been distributing free medicines, chlorine tablets, ORS packets, etc from door to door to stop the spread of water borne diseases.
In past one week, these teams visited areas of Nagrota, Majeen, Sidhra, Dhok wazir, Kahanpur Nagrota By Pass dwellings, Chibba, Bamyal, Jajjar Kotli, Dansal and Churta.
The health institutions have also been directed to distribute Chlorine tablets, ORS, Antibiotics, Anti diarrhoeals to the public every day. Apart from this the anti malarial staff is actively visiting water logged areas and is using pesticides sprays where ever necessary.
