Five vehicles collide but no loss of life

SAMBA, Sept 12: Five vehicles including a Superfast Bus, a mini bus, a tipper, a bank van and a car collided today on   Jammu-Pathankot National Highway near main chowk Vijaypur, in which some ladies got minor injuries, police said.
A police spokesperson said, the accident was dreaded but there was no report of any loss of life except some injuries sustained by some ladies.
He said the accident occurred due to the negligence of driver of Superfast Bus, who suddenly applied break to lift the passengers at Vijaypur Chowk, following which the trailing vehicles including a passenger minibus bearing registration No JK02K-9561, a bank van bearing registration No PB10EH-6579, a car bearing registration No JK08D-1900 and a tipper bearing registration No JK02BE-9345 hit each other from the back.
An unknown car was also damaged in this collision, he said adding the concerned police reached the spot and seized all the vehicles and registered a case in this connection.
