POONCH, Feb 16: A 45-years-old person died when a vehicle met with an accident in Chakrara area of Tehsil Mandi in Poonch district last night.
Official sources said that a Wagnor car, bearing registration number JK12-6143 was coming from Poonch to Mandi side. When the vehicle reached Chakrara, it met with an accident there in which one person namely, Zabair Ahmed, son of Nazeer Hussain, resident of Saloonia died on the spot.
Locals of the area said that the accident took place during night hours and the person, serving in Food and Supply department died due to loss of blood as no body was aware of the accident at that time.
Police authorities said that a case with FIR number 15/2026 under section 281/125A BNSS has been registered and investigation was taken up to know the facts pertaining to this accident.
