Dogri Sanstha releases 3 books by Dr Nirmal Vinod

JAMMU, Feb 14: Dogri Sanstha Jammu organized a book release function, here today for the release of three books in Dogri, authored by renowned writer and poet, Dr Nirmal Vinod.
These books are “Hasde Na Jaltarang”, a Ghazal collection; “Sanjh Sandhoori Dhudhli Raat”, a Ghazal collection and “Geet-Hans Mein”, a Geet-Navgeet collection (all books in Dogri).
Prof R D Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor of University of Jammu was the chief guest on this occasion whereas Padam Shri Prof Lalit Magotra, President, Dogri Sanstha, Jammu presided over the programme and Prof Veena Gupta, Vice-President, Dogri Sanstha was the special guest on this occasion.
Susheel Begana, Literary Secretary, Dogri Sanstha, gave a brief of the books released during the function. It was informed that sixteen poetry books in Hindi, Dogri, Punjabi and Pahari, authored by Dr Nirmal Vinod have been published so far.
Babu Bhatti, Dr Yash Raina, and Promila Manhas presented their papers, one each on the released books giving detailed critical evaluation of the creations of Dr Nirmal Vinod.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Nirmal Vinod expressed his views on his literary journey and creative process. He presented some of the pieces of his poetry included in the released books.
Prof Veena Gupta also expressed her views on the creative endeavour of Dr Nirmal Vinod, highlighting on various aspects of his poetic expressions and his contribution in the field of Dogri, Hindi, Punjabi and Pahari languages/dialects.
Prof R D Sharma applauded the efforts and the dedication of Dr. Nirmal Vinod in contributing in the field of literature.
In his presidential address, Dr Lalit Magotra appreciated the great initiatives of Dr Nirmal Vinod to make the literature rich by creating verse in various genres of poetry.
The programme was conducted by Sushil Begana, Literary Secretary, who extended vote of thanks.
