KISHTWAR, Feb 12: Police here today booked a notorious bovine smuggler under Public Safety Act (PSA).
Sharing details, SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh stated that Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Shah, resident of Shah Mohalla, Kurya Bridge, Kishtwar, has been detained under the provisions of PSA.
The detention order was issued by the District Magistrate, Kishtwar, following a detailed dossier prepared by the Police highlighting repeated involvement of the accused in criminal activities related to bovine smuggling. The accused has subsequently been lodged in District Jail, Bhaderwah.
The PSA warrant was executed by Inspector Vikram Singh, SHO Police Station Chattoo assisted by SI Roop Krishan, under the supervision of Dy. SP PC Dachhan, Nitish Sharma.
The successful execution of the detention order reflects the exemplary coordination between Kishtwar Police and the District Administration.
